About Us

Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery Practice Guidelines (CAAPRA) is an initiative driven by medical students, residents, and attending physicians from across the world to promote engagement in evidence-based practice. CAAPRA is a portal harboring major clinical practice guidelines, key clinical trials and seminal papers related to cardiovascular disease​s

Mission:

  1. Provide medical students and physicians from different disciplines with the opportunity to work together and interact with a greater network of peers from other institutions.

  2. Consolidate major publications from national and international societies related to cardiovascular disease in one easy to use interface

  3. Create a line of communication between students and residents, and third parties such as the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Association of Thoracic Surgery, ACC, and European and Asian Societies and invite their respective participation.

  4. Disseminate knowledge of guidelines and encourage the practice of evidence-based medicine by rendering the portal user-friendly and freely accessible to all.
